Role and Responsibilities
The Medical Office Assistant is a crucial role to the success of the office. The right person needs to be patient centric, able to multi-task, draw educated conclusions, be dependable, and understand the functionality of the office and how everything works together. They will be comfortable performing/learning the following tasks and any additional deemed necessary by physician/management:
- answering phones
- filing
- handling money
- rooming patients
- prior authorizations
- biopsies
- blood draws
- calling patients
Preferred Skills
The right candidate will be comfortable calling patients with biopsy results, answering phone calls, calling pharmacies, and using practice software.
